Bet Bet here, taking over the blog.  Ok.  I may be in big trouble.  Maybe even fired.  Here’s the thing.  Brooke and Walt get their wedding pictures just before leaving on their honeymoon.  They get a brief look, and I get a copy (hee hee).  So….. what’s a Bet Bet to do???  I HAD to make a slideshow!

Brooke and Walt, please forgive me.  Andrea did such a wonderful job on your pictures, and I love so many, and so many people have been waiting for a peak….I just had to.  Your day was so incredible.

So here are a few of MY favorite pix Andrea & April took :-)

Sometimes I need to take on personal projects to inspire and challenge myself.  Get out of my comfort zone, so I can continue to grow as a photographer.  I have had many requests for Couples Boudoir Sessions.  ”Coudoir”.   I was not at all comfortable with the idea at first, and turned away many couples.  It seemed like it would be very difficult to capture true intimacy like that …… scary.   On Monday, I did my first Coudoir test shoot with my good friends Candace & Adam.  They made great test subjects :-)  We did not have as much time to play as I wanted….it just got dark too fast.  I have more ideas after this shoot, and am excited to try them.  I know what I did right, and things I would like to change next time, but am happy with the results of my first try.

Yes.  I am now offering Couples Boudoir Sessions!  Yeah!!

Love doing women’s Boudoir so much, and am so anxious to get this going!  This is not only a extremely romantic gift for a couple…..it will also be an extremely romantic experience.

Thank you Kip for allowing me to use your bed on the beach, and to Cameron for doing a beautiful job with hair and make-up on Candace.  She looked awesome!

If you are interested in a Coudoir Session, please contact me.  Here are a few pictures form my test shoot.  Please….let me know what you think!  I wanna hear.

I am so excited about my promo video, and can’t wait to hear what you think!  Please leave me a comment, and let me know…..

I can’t thank Thomas from Hart to Heart Media enough for creating this promo for me.  Anyone who has seen a video created by Thomas, knows he’s a genius!  He has a unique view of the world, and it clearly shines through on his work.  Stop by his website, and see for yourself.  There is a reason he has been named Best Filmmaker in South Carolina by The Knot for 3 years in a row!

Brooke’s mom here – hijacking her blog for the day :-)  Her shower was a huge success, and a super huge THANK YOU to everyone who came to help us celebrate.  You made her day!  The night before the shower, we stayed in the Penthouse and shared a few bottles of wine during some last minute preparations.  It was such a fun, fun, fun night.

Her BFF Jenny flew in from Seattle, which made it an extra special day for Brooke.  Thanks Jenny – miss you already.  All the hours of planning by her Aunt Jacque paid off in a big way.  Everything was perfect.  Jacque, you da bestest.   And her sister Autumn helped pull it all together and made sure the day was a special as possible for her sister.  Love you Auts.  I’m so grateful for the best family in the world….which totally includes Jenny :-)

Here are some snapshots from the evening and the shower:

Vegas Baby!

WPPI was great this year!  So wonderful seeing everyone :-)  It’s amazing what you see when you get 15,000 photographers from all over the world together for a convention.  But you know what they say.  What happens in Vegas…  LOL!

Normally I don’t bring my camera to Vegas, but they all needed a good cleaning so I brought them this year.  So I took advantage of having a camera there and played a bit where we were out and about at night.  One thing is for sure, there is no other place on earth like Vegas!

Now.  To get caught up on phone calls and e-mails!

Wow — Opened up this months issue of Rangefinder, and was happy to see that Dynalites used a image of my beautiful bride Christen, for their ad!  And yes….I do love my Dynalites :-)

So I’m off to Las Vegas for the great WPPI convention and trade show.   I’m always anxious to see the great new products that are showcased, see the amazing competition prints, catch up with my photography friends who come from all over the country, and take a class or two.  I always come back refreshed, enthused, and ready to try some creative new things….It’s a great time every year!
