I’m a romantic at heart….and I love stories like Michele and Bobs even though it is a bittersweet story.   They met after both had tragically lost their first spouses to a heart attack and cancer.  Both were broken hearted, and never thought there would be room in their lives to love someone else again.  Time heals, and in time they were able to open their hearts to each other…and yes.  They found love :-)  Bob came to the marriage with 4 children, and Michelle with 3. The youngest in the pictures, is their son….together.  That’s a total of 8 children!!  Except for these two charming boys (who could steal away your heart in a minute!) all the kids are in their 20′s …. but they are hoping to all celebrate Christmas together this year.  They are a wonderful couple, and you can just see how much they love each other!

Michele & Bob — Thank you so much for your heart warming love story, and for allowing me a glimpse into your lives!  Your boys are precious, and I hope to meet the whole family soon!

This was a really special shoot.  Your looking at 4 generations of women!  And just how adorable is little Kaelyn??  Jessica is the best!   She is just so FUN!  We did a Trash the Dress shoot together awhile back and soon I’ll have even another shoot to show you :-)  She is from Kentucky, and always incorporates that beautiful Kentucky blue into her pictures.  Guys — it was truly an honor to get these images for you! Thank you so much!  Jessica — can’t wait to see what kind of shoot we can dream up next ;-)  My thoughts and prayers are with your grandma this week.

Kaite is allowing us to share some of her pictures…and why not?  Look at her!  She is drop dead gorgeous!  What I love most about Katie, is that she did this session just for herself.   To remind herself on those days we all have when life makes it so hard to remember …. that she is beautiful, sexy, and loves being a woman.  That’s what I love most about boudoir shoots.  That ” Wow.  Is that really me?”  Because among the bad days at work, the dirty dishes in the sink and the laundry waiting to be done.  The crying babies, dirty diapers and dangerously low balance in the checking account… it’s very difficult to remember that we all DO have that other part of ourselves.  The one that is beautiful, sexy, and loves being a woman :-)

I’m always amazed at how quickly time flies by.  It’s already been a year since Crissy and Craig exchanged vows at the Marriott in Myrtle Beach.  I know they will have many more happy years to come!

Funny story.  After the ceremony we were headed to the beach for a few pictures.  I spotted these great hammocks…and always wanting to try something new, I told them to sit in the hammock.  ”OK…. Now sit back just a bit” my big mouth flapped.  BAM!  Over they went, and I mean HARD.  I was so shocked, that it actually to me a a few seconds to come to my senses and start taking pictures!  Poor Crissy had wood chip dents in her back when she got up!  Fortunately for ME….they were great sports and had a good laugh.  And I got these ;-)

What an honor it was to do this session!  It was the very first time the whole family was together at the same time for a family portrait.  They were all here in Myrtle Beach this summer for a family vacation.  They gathered here from all over the Carolinas and Georgia.  Great family and I really enjoyed getting these for them.  It’s been the funnest ever family portrait season this year!

Today is a very special day. Today my sister and her husband celebrate 14 years of marriage!!! I know that things have not always been easy, but they are a true testament of what a good marriage is all about. Being there for one another and supporting each other in everything they do. It takes a very special kind of person to be able to put up with our family, and Marcus has welcomed us with open arms. (I’m hoping he can train Walt and show him the ropes..hehe).

Happy 14th Anniversary Autumn and Marcus!!! I only hope my marriage can be as strong and successful as yours:)

(How sad is it that in trying to find a good picture of the two of them I am coming up blank!!! Guess it’s time to torture them (and myself) and do their family pictures!!!)

I have family that lives in Ocean Isle Beach, so when Beth & Robert wanted some family beach portraits done in Holden Beach, on the same day I was planning to be in Ocean Isle Beach….it worked out perfectly!   We went to the very end of the island, facing Ocean Isle Beach and had some play time with Murphy, Davis and Caroline.  They were here on vacation from Charlotte, and the kids were relaxed and having a great time.  Beth is an event planner, and sure has a great eye for it.  She sent me some collage layouts for the pictures, and they were great!  Thanks guys — I really had fun at our session!
