I have always loved taking O’Marah’s pictures (even when she was still in her mommies belly)! She was a happy baby right from the start. And cute!!! Just look at that little smile 
It is a great pleasure to watch this beautiful little girl grow and change before my eyes. She is always a true little lady, brings her smiles and is ready to entertain me! Can’t wait for our next session….. Love You O’Marah!

I recently spent a week in Chicago at a workshop learning some new techniques from Jerry Ghionis, one of the top 10 photographers in the world. It was a privilege to learn from Jerry…and learn I did. We went over so many things in 5 days that I was near short circuiting from information overload – LOL. I am excited and ready to take my photography to the next level….but it will have to be done over time. I will have to break the comfortable flow I have and exchange it for pushing myself beyond my comfort level. It will take practice, practice, practice, to learn to see things in a different way, move things in a different way, and find that perfect sweet spot in the light each and every time.
Jerry was correct when he said “ A pose without emotion is still just a pose”. I want to really concentrate on improving the emotion captured in the images I take. I want it to ooze from each image, so anyone looking at them can feel the love I see between two people immediately. Sometimes….this is not an easy task. With many destination weddings here in Myrtle Beach, I don’t always get the opportunity to know and understand a couple as well as I would like to. I have to strive to find a way to make that happen. If I can understand better where they are coming from, then I can better recognize that special moment, the glance, the tiny knowing smile that two people in love share, and capture it.
So. I would love to tell you that these images were all my creation, my posing, my lighting…but I cannot tell a lie The truth is, many of these images were taken right over Jerry’s shoulder as HE was posing, lighting and maneuvering his subject to the perfect spot. He is a master!
None of these pictures have been retouched or altered in any way.

Everything in DC was simply beautiful in full bloom, including Elizabeth & Matt’s love for each other! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I have the best job in the world It was a true joy to work with these two and to get to know them a little better. On October 16th,2010 Elizabeth & Matt will say their vows at what promises to be an exquisite wedding at the Grande Dunes Members Club.

Shari & Eric are newlyweds! They were married on April 10th in Ohio, and came to Myrtle Beach for their honeymoon. They wanted to have some pictures on the beautiful beach, so they can always remember this special time in their life And who is that totally handsome young man with them?? It’s Aden, their son. Not only is he handsome, but he was very cooperative throughout the session. Thanks Shari & Eric !! Really enjoyed our session, and wish all 3 of you the best luck ever in the future!!

Andrea & Mark are an adorable couple who are very much in love. You can see it in their eyes. The way they look at each other, those little glances, the sparkle I took their engagement pictures in Pembroke, which is where we will also be going to photograph their wedding this July. The swing you see in the pictures below, is where they shared their very first kiss. It’s also where Mark proposed! Soon they will be moving to Charlotte where Mark will attend grad school. He is a future lawyer. I really enjoyed getting to know them both better, and am so looking forward to sharing such a HUGE day with them. Thanks guys – I’m very excited about your wedding!
